NextTilt is an independent coaching tool. It stores team rosters, games, attendance, lineups, coaching preferences and account access so coaches can plan and share hockey lines. Account email addresses identify members and their permissions; invitation requests may include a name.
Team access and coach responsibilities
Cloudflare Access handles sign-in using your email address and session cookies. Private boards require sign-in and team membership. Owners choose who can edit or view their board. Authorized editors can see the information recorded on that board; platform administrators may access records to operate the service, investigate issues or handle requests.
Only add, import or publish information you are authorized to use and share. Follow your association’s requirements and obtain any required player or parent/guardian permission. Avoid medical details, sensitive personal information or private contact information in player names, labels and coaching notes.
Connected accounts
TeamSnap is optional. Each coach connects their own account, selects the source team and imports available roster, game and attendance fields. Upcoming linked games can check attendance when you open or return to the board; this is not a continuous live feed. Connection tokens are encrypted on the server. Disconnecting stops the app from using that connection; it does not automatically erase records already imported. You can also manage app authorization in the provider’s account settings.
Optional league statistics use the team, season and competition selected or matched for your board. Coaches review uncertain matches. Source services can receive those sports identifiers when the app fetches records; our stats requests do not send private attendance, contacts or coaching notes.
Published game links
Coaches can publish selected lineup and game details to a page viewable without signing in. Anyone with its link can view and forward it, including chat-preview services. Names are abbreviated by default; coaches can choose jersey numbers only or full names. A short name, number and team can still identify a player. Check the preview and permissions before publishing.
Private attendance reasons, contacts and unpublished draft edits are excluded from the game page. The page instructs search engines not to index it, but this is not a guarantee that third parties will never retain or display it. Published game pages do not send our product-usage analytics.
Links expire 30 days after publishing and can be revoked. Republishing updates the active page. Expiry and revocation stop access on our website; they do not immediately delete retained cloud records or erase downloaded images, copied text and cached previews.
Public hockey stats
The public directory is separate from private coach boards. The platform administrator controls competition coverage and records its publication decision. An owner-directed pilot publishes team results only, with no individual player fields. Limited-name player publication needs a separate review. This internal setting does not establish source reuse rights, player consent, permission or endorsement from a league or provider. Private roster uploads and team membership do not authorize public-directory publication.
Published player fields can include first name and last initial, jersey number, team and recorded sports statistics. These combinations may identify a player. Enabled live pages may appear in search and be forwarded or cached. Fictional staging records are labelled and excluded from our production directory. Source corrections can change checked records; saved cards may retain earlier information.
Optional AI uses OpenRouter and its selected model provider to choose among eligible recap options with opaque identifiers. Player names, account details, contacts, attendance and coaching notes are excluded from those prompts. The app inserts names and figures after selection. Model output is restricted to checked choices; invalid or unavailable output falls back to templates. Consistency checks cannot guarantee that every source entry is correct.
Devices, storage and retention
Verified public-player removals can use a persistent source ID exclusion. It removes stored public player credit and summaries and prevents subsequent public syncing from restoring that ID. Private coach records, recovery copies and already shared images require separate review. If the original source changes a player ID, the new ID must also be verified and excluded.
The board keeps device copies for recovery and unsaved work. Public-team follows and analytics preferences are saved in this browser. Use sign-out and device cleanup on shared devices. A downloaded backup or shared image remains wherever you save or send it.
Cloudflare hosts the app, database, sign-in and operational protections. Current team records, retained revisions, imported sports records and shared snapshots are stored to provide the service and recovery. Revision history is bounded by saved revisions, rather than a fixed number of days. There is currently no automatic account-deletion or fixed inactivity-deletion schedule. Revoking a member or archiving a player does not delete all historical records. Use the privacy-request form to ask about access, correction, removal or closing a team. Requests are reviewed, including any applicable retention requirements and effects on other team members.
The administrator can review and delete share snapshots expired or revoked for at least 30 days, OAuth attempts expired for at least 24 hours, public recap caches older than 30 days and AI usage counters older than 90 days. This is reviewed housekeeping, not automatic account deletion. Current boards, active links, recovery history and exclusion records are preserved by this cleanup.
Limited usage analytics
The coach board and public stats pages send selected feature events to our server, which forwards a limited payload to PostHog’s US endpoint. Events use a random identifier for the browser-tab session, not your account email. We send event type, environment and limited categories such as page type, sharing action or referral category. We exclude player names, email addresses, roster contents, notes, raw page addresses, search terms and the original referring URL. We do not enable session replay, person profiles or GeoIP lookup.
These session events are not a count of unique people and should not be described as fully anonymous. Hosting and sign-in services also process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, for delivery, authentication and abuse protection. Disabling product analytics does not disable essential hosting or security processing.
Our usage-event code also honours browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. The public demo uses fictional players and does not save its lineup.
Sponsors and external services
Sponsor placements are labelled. Sponsor links and QR codes open external websites with their own privacy practices. Placement does not grant access to private coach boards, contacts, attendance or notes, and does not imply endorsement by a league or team. Active platform sponsor QR codes are included on newly generated lineup images and stats cards.

Contact forms and privacy requests
Tally collects contact-form details and messages, stores them in our account and sends an email notification to the administrator. Submissions are not displayed on the site or made available to team owners through the app. Avoid passwords, login codes, medical information and full rosters. We use the details to handle the inquiry or request. Form submissions and notification emails are reviewed for removal 90 days after an inquiry or case closes, unless a documented need or preservation obligation remains. This review is manual; there is no automatic form-submission deletion job.
The NextTilt privacy administrator handles information access, correction, removal requests and privacy concerns. Contact the privacy administrator without an account. We may need to verify your relationship to a record before releasing or changing private information. For official scoring corrections, follow the league’s process as well; NextTilt cannot amend an official scoresheet.
